7 Fashion Full Circles

Though I never thought that I would see the day (so soon of course), I can finally attest to seeing fashion on the front lines, go full circle. My heart is practically breaking at the thought of being old enough to see trendy blasts from the past being recycled into 2017! I can almsot hear my parents reveling in the overused "Been there, done that way before you were even thought of" speeches. But hey, who's to say that resurfaced fashion is 'so last year' (no pun intended). Most times when anything is recycled, it comes back better than its former state which is always a plus. But, before you begin to cringe at the idea of platform sandals, oversized cargo pants with silk camisole tops and practically every celebrity outfit at ANY award show before 2006, check out these 7 Full circle fashions that are popping back up to give us some well needed Deja Vu:

7.) Did anyone say Baywatch? Well, I did. All these hips still ain't got nothing on the OG Pamela Anderson. Summer 17 style is requiring hips and lots of 'em. Not to give King Kylie too much credit, but after she revived her mom's one piece 'BODY GLOVE' bathing suit last year, showing hip has been a hot move. From shape flaunting singlets to tight two pieces, high waists are making these styles 'a cut above the rest'. Not to disturb the integrity of the 80's but I cannot ignore the revamping of this sexy style by pairing it with a bandeau or even a sultry off the shoulder shirt for more modesty.

6.) J-U-I-C-Y! Our past middle school selves are actually jumping for joy at the thought bringing back those faux glamor track suits. Juicy Couture virtually took a back seat for the past few years from a long running fad being survived by teenage girls, on the go celebrities and the occasional PTA mom. I mean who can honestly forget Kim K sprawled out on the hood of her Range Rover in that adorable baby pink J.C track suit?? We could only hope to look half as fab as Beyonce, Brit Spears or heiress Paris Hilton is every color they acquired when they were in style. Low and behold, Juicy Couture is back and is striving to be number one, once again. Adapting in 2016, Juicy is now being sold by Urban Outfitters with celebrities like Tinashe modeling for their new ad campaign. Even Youtube's own Makeup & Beauty Guru, Aaliyah Jay, has been seen in New York City looking like a velour vixen.

5.) Should I break out my .99 cent hair store lip gloss now or later? I know I said I would stick to fashion only but I want to quickly

breeze over the recovery of glossy lips! I'll be the first to say that i've elevated through the ranks of lip care, starting with the building blocks of Lip Smackers onto the finest: MAC Cosmetics. But as I passed through makeup milestones, I had one consistent friend: lip gloss. I practiced with baby pinks and cool clears like it was my religion. Unfortunately, vibrant lip stains and matte vampiric lippies took a hold of me and I turned by back on gloss. But none the less they're back! (For me at least) And as i've noticed, they're being added back into a lot our beauty regimens as well. More often than not, I'm seeing high gloss lips paired with a natural glow for a simplistic clean up. One gloss which I highly recommend is NYX's "Madeline". It provides a neutral nude shade when paired with a brown lip liner (thank me later).

4.) Four words: See. Through. Colored. Sunglasses. Just like the originals, some even have rhinestone shapes in the corner. This trend has remerged with a new shape and fun new colors and has been picked up many stores including mainstream brands like ALDO.

3.) This by far has to be my favorite trend in season . Off the shoulder is starting to get people's attention! I think this off the shoulder style gives off a flirty yet sexy feel. Off the shoulder bodysuits, dresses, bathing suits and power playsuits are literally all the rage right now (did you catch that early 2000's slang?) Personally, i'll wear an off the shoulder top with just about anything. It dresses up almost any outfit when i'm trying to be sexy and makes me feel modest when the off the shoulder top is long sleeved. PrettyLittleThing (an online store from the UK) did it's own spin on the off the shoulder top by cropping it and making the material ribbed with ruffled sleeved.

2.) Now i'm not exactly saying that I want to be stripped down, oiled up and airbrushed with an array of L's and V's like Lil Kim the Queen B, BUT I am slowly but surely becoming obsessed with head to toe designer. And i'm not just talking about a Gucci wallet paired with a Gucci jacket for effect, i'm talking about: a Gucci head scarf, with a Gucci t-shirt under a Gucci track jacket, above a pair Gucci jeans paired with a signature pair of ivy green and red sandals. Now though the trend is growing on me, that hardly means I can even afford to think dream about Gucci at night. My lavish luxury wishes will remain just that, wishes. But do know that if on the off chance that I hit the lottery, head to toe Louis Vuitton is in order.

1.) We've finally reached the number one spot. Did you anticipate what it was? Without looking at the picture, can you guess? Seriously guess. TOO LATE! SATIN IS BACK! You can almost feel my excitement permeating through this blog post. I'm talking satin blouses (Crazy), slip dresses (Sexy), and satin head scarves (Cool). Whenever I wear my all black slip dress with the lacy edges, I seriously feel like I'm channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw. The same Carrie Bradshaw who would pair that very simplistic slip dress with a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels and a belted fur coat. Hey, we can't all be Carrie Bradshaw and every look can't Met Gala ready. On days that I want to be casual, my slip dress can be paired with a band tee and a pair of Vans for that sporty/edgy look.

Well that's all folks. Know of anymore trends that did a 360 on us? Message me them! We'll chat soon!Xx -AubreeKhyleStyle
